One of the most powerful Ferrari auctionedJanuary 18, 2020
We are talking about the model 512 BB, which was assembled in 1979. Really big money is going to help her.
At auction RM Sotheby’s put up for sale a unique car – a hypercar Ferrari 512 BB. Last year, the car celebrated its 40th anniversary, but did not lose its appeal at all. The first 23 years of its history, the car was serial and did not gain much fame, until in 2002, Bob Norwood acquired it. After that, the car was very seriously modernized. Instead of the production 3.9-liter engine, a 5.0-liter Testarossa engine was installed with an incredible power of 1,100 hp. After that, Ferrari appeared in one of the Forza editions and became a real legend. Subsequently, the power plant was replaced one more time.
In 2018, the car received a fiat-12 engine, which is equipped with a Ferrti F512 M. The output of the motor is 440 hp, which is not so impressive compared to the previous version.
To extend the “life” of the car, its exhaust system is made of stainless steel. For a more comfortable and safe ride, the car was equipped with an improved brake system. The car body is painted in glossy black. In the passenger compartment, the seats are trimmed in black leather. Note the original three-spoke Ferrari steering wheel with a signature emblem in the middle. Experts suggest that for Ferrari 512 BB it will be possible to gain 225,000 -275,000 dollars
