On the web there were photos of the “charged” Skoda Octavia RSNovember 14, 2019
A new version of the high-performance Skoda Octavia RS liftback will be presented next year.
Independent designers from the X-Tomi Design team decided to imagine how a more powerful version of the new generation Octavia model might look like. We expect that the real car will turn out to be somewhat more aggressive than the one presented on this render, and will be able to boast of the revised RS logo, which debuted on the “charged” Kodiaq RS crossover a little over a year ago.
Skoda designers may well borrow some lines from the previously introduced Vision RS concept and adapt them for the new Octavia RS. well, among other things, the novelty will receive rims with a new appearance.
Under the hood of a powerful car will be an updated version of the 2.0 TSI gasoline engine with a capacity of almost 250 horsepower. There are also rumors that the Czech company will also present for the high-performance Skoda Octavia RS and a diesel engine with sufficient torque.
The regular Octavia already has a diesel TDI with 197 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque as part of its 2.0 engine range. This version of the car is also equipped with a seven-speed “robot” DSG and all-wheel drive system. We will probably learn in more detail about the technical characteristics of the “charged” Octavia RS TDI, when in 2020 a close relative of the Czech novelty will be introduced – we are talking about the German Golf GTD hatchback. And one more thing, only the diesel version of the new Octavia RS will receive all-wheel drive.
