Independent designers showed their views on the lineup of premium Korean companies.
Back in 2017, we reported that Genesis registered trademarks for the names GT60, GT70, GT80 and GT90, reflecting the intention of the Korean luxury brand to enter the coupe segment or make coupe versions of its lineup. Trademarks were filed in 2015. In turn, the GV (GV60, GV70 and GV80) were also patented for the Genesis SUV segment. Years later, the GV80 was introduced to the world, but the coupe still remains in the shadows.
At the moment, there is no news about the upcoming Genesis coupe, and no such models were noticed during testing. But this does not mean that the brand abandons its GT project. There is a chance that someday we will see the Genesis coupe, and the KKS Studio portal presents what it will look like with the current design language.
Based on the Essentia Concept, which debuted at the 2018 New York Auto Show, KKS Studio redesigned the front of the electric coupe by changing the grille and optics, focusing on the brand’s current style. According to experts, the received model looks impressive and is a bit similar to Aston Martin.
Note that the upcoming Genesis coupe was confirmed for production by Honcho, and also teased during the launch of the GV80 earlier this year, so we are really just waiting for the official announcement. Or at least spy photos of the Genesis coupe during trials.
