On the streets seen an updated crossover VW Tiguan 2021

The German crossover novelty of the 2021 model year was spotted without any camouflage. Presentation of the new generation SUV may take place at the Geneva Motor Show 2020.

A couple of minutes ago, at the disposal of our publication were “spy” photos with the updated crossover VW Tiguan 2021, passing a series of winter tests. It is noteworthy that the crossover did not receive any camouflage.

It is still unknown where this instance of the long-awaited novelty was photographed, but it seems that somewhere in Europe and, probably, the car was “kept watch” during the official photo shoot. This is evidenced by the fact that in the background you can see the older Tiguan and the five-door Mk1 VW Golf aqua – maybe this is just a coincidence, but for some reason it seems to me not.

The front of the new generation compact SUV clearly stands out thanks to new headlights that resemble the headlights of the “freshest” performance of the Golf hatchback and sophisticated LED daytime running lights.

The crossover is also equipped with a false radiator grille with four horizontal strips trimmed with chrome, additional chrome inserts are both around the air intakes and along the front bumper spoiler. The new VW brand logo is also visible here. Chrome trim is also present around the side windows.

Obviously, the version of the new Tiguan captured in this photo is not the basic version, as it is also equipped with a sports set of wheels with silver and black spokes. Recent spy shots of the crossover have shown that the rear will also undergo some changes – taillights and a bumper change.

Most likely, the VW Tiguan 2021 will be available with many of the same gasoline and diesel engines that are offered for the eighth generation Golf hatchback. The premiere of the updated Tiguan may take place at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

Not so long ago, we wrote that with this kit from the ABT studio, the VW Transporter van looks very aggressive. Engineers from a German tuning company developed a more aerodynamic body kit for VW Transporter. A serious modernization of the power plant is also offered for the van.
