During the filming of the 29th season of the popular Top Gear car show, his presenter Paddy McGuinness had an accident in a rented Lamborghini Diablo. The star itself, fortunately, did not suffer, but the car got pretty well.
According to autobild.de, the accident occurred on the roads of North Yorkshire (UK). The Top Gear crew conducted a test drive of three legendary 90s supercars, Ferrari F40, Jaguar XJ220 and Lamborghini Diablo. And the last one was unlucky: the driving driver Paddy McGuinness, who was driving the Italian, lost control of the car, flew off the road and crashed into the fence, as a result of which the car suffered quite serious damage (the front and rear bumpers flew off in the supercar, as well as the rear wing).
A little later, McGuinness posted two short videos on Instagram, in which he talked about an unpleasant incident and shows a fragment of a wrecked car. The leader did not disclose details, but stated. that it was raining at the time of the accident, and its speed was about 55 km / h. Also, the 46-year-old host joked, saying that Lamborghini Diablo acted with him as a cruel lover.
Note that the Lamborghini Diablo is a very powerful car, even by today’s standards – the return of its 5.7-liter V12 is 492 hp. Over 11 years of production (1990-2001), almost 3,000 units were produced. this model. The average cost of Diablo at auctions is 275 thousand euros.
