On the Nürburgring test a new BMW M235i Gran CoupeApril 24, 2019
It is reported that under the hood of the Bavarian new items will be just over 300 horsepower. The official presentation of the high-performance model will be held at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2019.
It is expected that the official presentation of the big BMW 2-Series coupe will be held at the Los Angeles (USA) Auto Show in November 2019. Now the test prototype of the car was seen at the Nürburgring race track.
Based on the new version of the 1-Series hatchback, the Gran Coupe 2-Series from the M Performance Sport division will already come standard with all-wheel drive.
The official name of this version of the novelty is not yet known, but logic tells us that BMW will stick the M235i badge on the trunk lid of the car. A compact sedan (in fact, it is a sedan, not a four-door coupe) will use the same engine as the powerful X2 M35i crossover. We are talking about the most powerful four-cylinder engine BMW today, the power of which is likely to be 302 hp (450 Nm). It is expected that the new product can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.9 seconds.
In contrast to the recently released 4-door coupe Mercedes-AMG CLA 35, which also has a power of 302 hp, the Bavarian front-wheel drive novelty will be built on the newly developed FAAR platform (updated UKL). The prototype seen at the Nürburgring seems to have a fully standardized body, which may mean that BMW will present the M235i along with the other versions of the updated family in the Los Angeles in November of this year.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that the new generation of the versatile BMW 3-Series will be presented in a few weeks.
