On tests seen updated Maserati GhibliJuly 9, 2020
Some publications published photos from the tests of the updated Maserati Ghibli. The debut of the sedan will take place on July 16.
Judging by the “spy” pictures that came to our editorial office a couple of minutes ago, the Italian Maserati Ghibli sedan is currently undergoing a series of tests. The captured prototype has new headlights and taillights, as well as small changes in the bumpers, but this is essentially the same car. Some changes are expected inside the cabin. It is worth noting that the Ghibli sedan went on sale in the second half of 2013.
While conventional powertrains are likely to be updated, the biggest news regarding the upcoming restyled version of the Ghibli will be equipping the sedan with a hybrid powerplant.
It is noteworthy that it was planned to present an electrified performance of Ghibli in April at the Beijing Motor Show, but the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) forced the car dealership management to postpone the event until September.
It is still unknown whether the new Maserati Ghibli will be shown simultaneously in the usual and hybrid versions. Rumor has it that this “soft” hybrid installation will be based on a gasoline four-cylinder engine. In addition, the novelty should receive the latest Uconnect infotainment system, as well as, possibly, a digital instrument cluster and an expanded set of security technologies.
According to the current Maserati strategy, the next generation of Ghibli will appear no earlier than in 2024.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the studio Wald modernized the Maserati Quattroporte. Specialists from the company Wald finalized the Italian model Maserati Quattroporte.
