On tests seen prototype updated pickup Chevrolet Colorado

The Australian novelty will receive a slight “facelift”, similar to the versions of this medium-sized truck from Chevrolet and GMC.

The American GM recently introduced a slightly updated version of its mid-size pickup Chevrolet Colorado (yes, Chevrolet is part of the concern). This is the version of the car that is sold in the US automotive market. However, the truck is not only sold in America, which means that other regions should also receive an updated version of the model. Ironically, this right-hand Colorado, which is believed to have the nameplate of the Australian company Holden, which belongs to the same General Motors, was recently spotted in southeast Michigan (USA), not far from the Milford GM test site.

I must say that these are the first shots of test prototypes of the updated Holden Colorado pickup, and judging by them it can be understood that the changes with the car will be very minor – in fact we have the same Chevrolet Colorado.

The only camouflage on this prototype is in front, hiding the new front panel and possible changes in the hood. The sides and the entire rear of the truck – right up to the rear lights, look identical to the current version of the model.

As for what is under the camouflage film, everything is simple – the new upper and lower grille with updated fog lamp units are apparently the main differences. Headlights are identical to the current version of the car, which is exactly the same trend that we saw in the “spy” images of American Colorado and GMC Canyon, made earlier this year. These trucks will be equipped with larger false radiator grilles to make them more similar to their full-size counterparts.

The composition of the motor range is also expected to remain unchanged. Most likely, the interior design will be preserved, although nevertheless, according to rumors, some new interior elements will be added, as well as a couple of technologies to the equipment list. We expect to see the updated Chevrolet Colorado early to mid next year as a 2021 model.
