On tests noticed a new Peugeot 208January 10, 2019
The appearance of the French subcompact innovation is mostly inspired by the flagship mid-size model 508. The 2018 Peugeot 208 will premiere in March this year at the Geneva Motor Show. In the sale of cars will go at the end of this year.
It’s no secret that since the appearance of the Peugeot 508 turned out to be truly awesome, the new versions of the rest of the French automaker’s cars will somehow resemble it.
This is exactly what happened in the case of the next generation subcompact 5-door hatchback 208.
The observed prototype, the “spy” photos of which we publish here, looks like its presentation is due to take place very soon.
I am not at all surprised by the fact that this prototype had five doors – after all, according to representatives of the automaker, a new generation of model 208 will no longer be offered in the 3-door body. Sales of this version of the model are declining recently, so the brand management decided to completely remove such cars from sales.
Despite the camouflage, you can see that the design of the front of the prototype is more or less similar to the flagship 508. The taillights have a design similar to the one found on stylish hatchbacks and Peugeot station wagons. In this series of “spy” photos, unfortunately, it will not be possible to look at the baby’s salon, however, we can almost with 100% certainty say that it will be in many ways similar to the flagship 508 salon.
Peugeot 208 will receive a CMP platform, which will give the opportunity to work on the electrification of the model.
