The Italian company showed its new F8 Spider roadster, built on the basis of the F8 Tributo model, and in the lineup it will replace the Ferrari 488 Spider.
Ferrari F8 Spider got a hardtop that folds in 14 seconds at a speed of no more than 45 km / h. At the same time, the engineers managed to make the model 20 kg lighter than the Ferrari 488 Spider, but at the same time as much heavier than the hardcore 488 Pista Spider. But the aerodynamic efficiency of the F8 Spider has improved by 10%.
Under the hood of the Ferrari F8 Spider is a 3.9-liter V8 rated at 720 hp. and 770 Nm of torque, familiar from the coupe. It is at 50 bhp. and 10 Nm more than the 488 Spider. Ozgon to 100 km / h in a convertible takes only 2.9 seconds, and up to 200 km / h – 8.2 seconds. According to the assurance of the automaker, the maximum speed reaches 340 km / h.
Ferrari F8 Spider equipped with an intake from the racing 488 Challenge. Inconel exhaust manifolds were also installed here, thanks to which the supercar engine became 9.7 kg lighter. A particulate filter has also appeared to meet strict European emission standards.
From the F8 Tributo coupe, the new Ferrari F8 Spider borrowed a large rear spoiler with air intakes on the sides. As well as proprietary systems Side Slip Angle Control (for better handling in corners) and Dynamic Enhancer, which regulates the pressure in the brake calipers.
