Official images of the Lynk & Co cross-coupe appeared on the InternetNovember 6, 2019
The coupe-shaped crossover, which was jointly developed by Geely and Volvo, will appear on the local market in 2020.
The Lynk & Co range currently includes sedan 03, crosses 01 and 02, sold only in China. They decided to strengthen the brand by expanding the lineup: Lynk & Co announced a cross-coupe with the designation 05 and distributed images of the new item.
Like other models of the brand, Lynk & Co 05 is based on the CMA architecture, created by specialists from Geely and Volvo. The novelty is 80 mm longer than the Lynk & Co 01 cross. In addition to the silhouette, 05 differs from 01 in that it will receive a different radiator grille, new bumpers and taillights.
According to assumptions, the model will borrow the motor range from the rest of the Lynk & Co family, in particular, 1.5- and 2.0-liter gasoline engines with 180 and 190 horsepower, respectively, and another 254-horsepower “turbo four” at 2.0 liter, all from Volvo. Apparently, later hybrid versions of the new product will appear.
In China, the new model should go on sale in early 2020. It is expected that its cost will amount to 250 thousand yuan. In Europe, this car brand will appear a little later that year. At the same time, it is not known when Lynk & Co machines will enter the Russian market.
