Nissan X-Trail turned into the “Millennium Falcon”

The American division of Nissan introduced another concept, created based on the movie Star Wars.

This time, the source of inspiration for the Nisan people was the spacecraft of Khan Solo “Millennial Falcon”. Actually, the release of the film about Solo and a new concept is timed: the premiere of the tape will take place in a couple of weeks. In the spacecraft turned the crossover Rogue – under that name in the US they sell a model that in other countries is known as X-Trail.

On the body of the prototype – aluminum panels and parts printed on a 3D printer. On the roof installed a “laser gun” and a radar antenna. Behind – three Bose subwoofers with a total capacity of 1500 watts and a luminous design that simulates the engines of the Falcon. In the cabin of the crossover appeared a lot of different switches and buttons (of course, fake).

On the real motor of “space” Rogue in the company did not mention. In the States, the “normal” crossover is offered with a petrol four-cylinder 2.5 with a power of 172 hp, and also with a 178-hp hybrid plant, which includes a two-liter “atmospheric” and an electric motor (integrated in a V-belt variator). Most likely, the concept is equipped with a motor 2.5.

Recall that in 2017, Nissan also introduced concepts in the style of “Star Wars”: at the Salon in Los Angeles, debuted special sedans Altima and Maxima, crossovers Rogue and Rogue Sport (in other countries – Qashqai). Neither the current, nor last year’s concepts in the series, of course, will not be sent. Although in the line of the Japanese brand there are also commodity models “based on” the cosmosaga: in 2016 for the US and Canada have developed a limited version of the special version of the Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition with exclusive elements of exterior and interior decoration. And last year in Mexico sales of compact SUV Nissan Kicks Dark Light started.

By the way, in the United States has long been selling the restyling crossover Rogue: a model with an updated exterior design and an expanded list of equipment in this country is available from the end of 2016. Last year, the refreshed X-Trail, destined for Europe, was introduced.
