Nissan will present the anniversary version of the sports car GT-R 50th Anniversary EditionApril 17, 2019
Japanese brand Nissan aims to make its performance at the New York Auto Show this year truly special. We have already seen a special edition of the 50th Anniversary Edition for the 350Z sports coupe. Now we want to remind you that this year the GT-R model is 50 years old.
As in the case of the 370Z coupe, the anniversary version of the sports car is a change for the internal and external appearance of the car. The exterior has received a two-tone color with a large top strip designed to pay homage to the classic racing livery (body painting) GT-R. Three color combinations are available, including white with red stripes, silver with white stripes, and perhaps the coolest news for GT-R fans – the return of Bayside Blue shade.
This bright shade of blue has become almost as iconic as the generation of the R34 Skyline GT-R, on which it was last seen, and for the 50th anniversary of this model, it will finally be presented again.
Blue accents on the wheel spokes, as well as special nameplates will remind you of the exclusivity of the car. Inside, there is a special steering wheel, gear knob, raised seats and Alcantara, used for headlining the ceiling and sun visors.
The guys from Nissan also slightly updated the supercar GT-R 2020 model year. Power remained at 565 for standard models and 600 hp in Track Edition and GT-R Nismo, but the 3.8-liter V6 gets new turbochargers – engine efficiency increased by 5%.
