Nissan unveils new Nissan Note in NovemberNovember 17, 2020
Pictures of a brochure with a compact hatchback of the Japanese brand depicted on it appeared on the Web. It is expected that the new generation of Nissan Note will be presented by the end of the month, and the model will go on sale in December.
A flyer with images of the third generation Nissan Note and the promise of an imminent debut was posted on Twitter by a user with the nickname kikurage_PT. He also said that he got the “booklet” from one of the dealers in Japan.
Recall that the first time Nissan Note of the third generation was announced back in May, when Nissan published a teaser video with new products that are planned to be brought to the market in the near future. And now the Japanese edition of Creative Trend has managed to get a snapshot of the camouflaged prototype. Also, the publication, citing its own sources in the dealer network, noted that the new product will be presented in October 2020.
The model looks more solid than its predecessor, it looks more like a “traditional” hatchback, and not a microvan: the hood has extended and become more prominent, all-LED optics are already. However, judging by other spy shots of the new Note, the filling of the headlights will depend on the configuration. Well, thanks to the July footage, we know that instead of raised upward taillights of complex shape, they installed horizontal ones, “floating” on the tailgate.
Some Japanese media believe that Nissan itself will announce the “third” Note in a week – November 24, and orders in the Land of the Rising Sun will open on December 23.
It is possible that for the home market Nissan Note will retain the e-Power hybrid power plant, which could be modified. The peculiarity of this system is that the gasoline engine is not connected to the wheels, it works only as a generator, while the wheels are rotated by an electric motor. The Nissan Note e-Power is now powered by an EM57 electric motor with a peak output of 109 hp. power and 254 Nm of torque. It is powered by a 1.2-liter HR12DE with 79 hp. (103 Nm). The hybrid also has an all-wheel drive version at home with an N2 electric motor on the rear axle (4.8 hp, 15 Nm). The traditional version of the model uses a 79-horsepower 1.2-liter HR12DE and its turbo version HR12DDR with 98 horsepower.
The Japanese suggest that the “third” Note is based on the CMF-B platform, on which many other models of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance are based, including the latest Renault Clio and Captur, the fresh Nissan Juke, as well as the new generation Dacia Logan and Sandero (under the Renault brand, public sector employees are not yet represented). In this case, the car may decrease in size. So, the length is supposedly equal to 4045 mm, width – 1695 mm, height – 1505 mm, wheelbase – 2580 mm. Dimensions of the outgoing Nissan Note (it is built on the platform V): 4100/1695/1520 mm, the distance between the axles is 2600 mm.
