Nissan Titan pickup will have an even higher performance version …February 11, 2020
The Japanese automaker plans to create a direct competitor to the American pickup Ford F-150 Raptor. The car will be built at the base of the current Nissan Titan. Novelty will not appear in the near future.
The Japanese truck Nissan Titan may in the future compete on equal terms with the American high-performance pickup Ford F-150-Raptor. According to Tiago Castro, Nissan Director of Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing in North America, a more powerful version of the popular truck is under construction.
“We have the opportunity, and most importantly, the desire, to make a more powerful version of the current Nissan Titan Pro4X,” he said. He later added that still such a version of the car will not appear soon.
Unfortunately, there are no details about what Nissan intends to do with the full-size Titan. Looking at Ford’s more powerful Raptor, it would be possible to add more power to the engine, install a more powerful suspension and high-performance transmission components so that the pickup gets more traction on the roads.
The most powerful performance of the Japanese pickup at the moment is the Rocky Ridge version. The ground clearance of such a car is increased by six inches, and nitrogen rear shock absorbers are added to the design. The machine is equipped with 20-inch wheels with 35-inch off-road tires. The kit also includes protective steel plates and body cross members. Similar options, only one level higher, should get the Nissan Titan, in order to compete on equal terms with the legendary Ford F-150 Raptor.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that Nissan introduced the updated Titan 2020 pickup in the XD version. The Japanese full-size novelty with an extended wheelbase received great power, as well as new exterior elements.
