Nissan spoke about the interior of the new GT-R50 from ItaldesignJuly 3, 2020
Italdesign’s Nissan GT-R50 is a combination of Japanese technology and Italian craftsmanship.
Inspired by the livery of classic GT-R racing car models, this supercar is available in just 50 pieces, which can be fully personalized both inside and out. To create each of these pearls of the racing world, developed on the basis of the new Nissan GT-R NISMO, it takes four months of continuous work in the Italdesign workshop founded by Giorgetto Giugiaro.
Italdesign’s special Nissan GT-R50 series interior, designed to mark the 50th anniversary of the Nissan GT-R and Italdesign, is made in black Alcantara with carbon fiber trim, which can significantly reduce the weight of the car and give the supercar a sporty spirit. It is lightness that is the fundamental characteristic for improving the performance of a racing car.
Alcantara is used to decorate the center console, dashboard, doors, and center seat strips to provide maximum traction in extreme driving conditions. The steering wheel is also covered in Alcantara with custom-made carbon fiber decorative elements and a distinctive red stripe in the center. White contrasting lines emphasize close attention to detail in the interior.
The Italdesign model emphasizes the sporty character of the car thanks to Alcantara’s unique technical characteristics – lightness, traction and breathability, while not inferior to aesthetics and elegance. In addition, in accordance with the limited edition concept, Alcantara provides a high degree of personalization: the finish in this material is available in various textures and processing methods.
