Nissan Qashqai became one of the bestsellers of August in EuropeSeptember 26, 2018
Following the European sales in August, the Qashqai crossover entered the top three in its segment. It accounted for more than half of the total volume of brand model sales. According to the representatives of the company, the largest markets for them are the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and France.
The market research was conducted by JATO Dynamics company and according to the analytical data, the Japanese crossover took the third place with 24 407 sold copies. This is lower than last year’s indicator by 97%. In the second position is the model Renault Clio, which was preferred by 25,734 Europeans. In this case, sales increased by 54%.
The Volkswagen Golf, which local dealers sold in the amount of 34 659 units, is an honorable first place for the biggest demand, which is 11% higher than in 2017.
The top five bestsellers also included models Volkswagen Polo and Renault Captur. They managed to realize 21 325 and 20 479 copies respectively. In the first case, sales grew by 69%, and in the second – by 106%. In the top ten sales are: Volkswagen Tiguan – 19 356 units. (+ 39%), Dacia Duster – 17 500 units. (+ 84%), Dacia Sandero – 17 415 units. (+ 24%), Renault Megane – 16 857 units. (+ 92%), Skoda Octavia – 15 900 units.
Meanwhile, the Japanese built a special pickup for astronomers with a telescope and other equipment. The only instance of the car was called Dark Sky Concept.
