Nissan Qashqai accelerated to 383 kilometers per hourApril 23, 2018
Crossover Nissan Qashqai became the fastest SUV in the world, accelerating to 382.6 kilometers per hour. The car ahead of the previous record holder – 2000-hp Toyota Land Cruiser, last year showed a speed of 370 kilometers per hour.
Qashqai was built by the British tuner Severn Valley Motorsport, which specializes in revisions of the Nissan GT-R. The company is engaged in the project of the most powerful and fastest Qashqai in the last three years. For the first time information about it appeared in 2015, when the car accelerated to 357 kilometers per hour. Then the crossover was equipped with an 1100-hp power plant.
It was a six-cylinder twin-turbo engine from the GT-R, whose volume was increased from 3.8 to 4.1 liters. Other turbochargers, a steel exhaust system without catalytic converter and racing injectors with fuel pumps from Bugatti Veyron were also installed.
The new version of Qashqai in Severn Valley Motorsport again changed turbines. Now the crossover unit produces 2000 horsepower.
In the near future Severn Valley Motorsport company promises to publish a video of the record-breaking race.
