The original Frontier Desert Runner pickup, made in the style of pre-runners for desert racing, the Japanese brand presented at the SEMA show. Such a racing car received a new engine and an aggressive off-road appearance.
Nissan brought an unusual Frontier Desert Runner pickup to the SEMA exhibition, which it adapted for desert racing. Tuners from MA Motorsports studio had a hand in developing this model. Recall that under the name “Frontier” in the American market, the Nissan Navara pickup truck is presented. To make the racing pickup easy to cope with all difficulties, it was equipped with a new engine – this is the upgraded Endurance V8 5.6 from Titan, which took the place of the standard V6 4.0. The new engine was thoroughly “understaffed”, simultaneously installing MA Motorsports exhaust on the pickup truck.
Due to the upgrade, 600 hp were squeezed out of the engine. instead of the usual for the “Titan” 395 “horses”. A pair of such a power unit is 6-speed manual transmission from Nissan.
Such a pickup will easily overcome even the most tricky off-road sections thanks to the front long-stroke suspension, while the developers installed Giant Motorsports Link Killer leaf springs at the rear. The Frontier Desert Runner has 37-inch tires from legendary American company BFGoodrich. A “spare wheel” is securely attached to the loading platform, and Sparco sports seats and special seat belts with a beam fastening have appeared in the pickup.
