Nissan launches Serena Nismo sports minivan

The Japanese brand has expanded the line of “charged” models on the home market.

In Japan, Serena Nismo minivan sales started. Externally from the standard model, the new version features a bracelet with red elements, a grille of radiator, an enlarged spoiler on a luggage door and the presence of horizontal LED Daytime running lights.

The interior also features red accents, besides, van has got sports front seats. The new equipment list includes the ProPilot autonomous control system (works only within the same lane on the motorway) and a multimedia complex with a touch screen.

The Nissan Serena Nismo has reconfigured the suspension, yet the model has got a new exhaust system. The minivan is equipped with a hybrid system, consisting of a gasoline engine 2.0 power of 150 hp, an electric motor with an output of 2.6 hp and variator. The drive is only front, although the regular Serena has a 4×4 version.

The price of Serena Nismo starts at a mark of 3,419,200 yen.

Recall, the premiere of a sports minivan took place in October this year at the Tokyo Motor Show. As part of the exhibition, Nissan also showed the prototype of the “charged” electrochemical Leaf Nismo, but it is not yet known when such a version will fit into the conveyor.
