Nissan Kicks on the chassis of Duster first drove to the cameraAugust 6, 2018
The Nissan Kicks crossroad debuted in 2016, Brazil and Mexico became the first markets, then the “SUV” got to China, USA, Canada and Argentina. Next in line is India, where Kicks will appear, which will differ from the model presented in other countries. The first photos from the tests of the Indian version of the SUV Nissan published the publication IndianAutosBlog.
Recall, the global Kicks is built on the V platform of the alliance Renault-Nissan, which also underlies, for example, the current Nissan Note and Pulsar. And the Indian cross will be transferred to the “cart” B0: this platform is based on Renault Duster, the local version of Renault Captur and Nissan Terrano (“twin” Duster).
Judging by the spy images of the crossover intended for India, “them” Kicks will differ from the global model also externally. In particular, the car in the photo has other rear doors: the window line continues straight, whereas at the Kicks on the platform V it is “tucked up”. Also, the Indian “SUV” will probably have other tail lights. Salon, most likely, will not change.
According to preliminary data, Kicks on the platform B0 will be larger than the global model, but the exact dimensions are still unknown. The dimensions of the crossover available in other countries are as follows: length – 4,295 mm, width – 1,760 mm, height – 1,590 mm, wheelbase – 2,620 mm.
It is expected that in India Nissan Kicks will be offered with engines from local Duster / Captur. It’s about the gasoline engine H4K 1.5 with a power of 106 hp. and diesel K9K 1.5 dCi with a return of 110 hp. In China, Kicks is equipped with an atmospheric 1.5 family HR with 125 hp, in North America and the South American market, the model can be bought with a gasoline engine of 1.6 of the same family (114-125 hp, depending on the country). Drive the global cross – only the front. The Indian Kicks also, probably, will have only a front-wheel drive version, although the platform B0 and admits the presence of a 4×4 version.
In India, a crossover can be introduced before the end of this year, but the model will reach dealers only in 2019. Production of Kicks for this country will be established at the local plant of the alliance Renault-Nissan (the crossover is still being assembled in Brazil, Mexico and China).
