Nissan Kicks got an extended security package, but with the same price tagDecember 12, 2019
The basic version of the crossover is now equipped with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 active safety complex. Moreover, the cost, list of trim levels and additional options have remained unchanged.
An updated version of the Nissan Kicks crossover 2020 model year appeared on sale. The interior and exterior design has not changed, but now the company offers a wider list of active safety systems as standard equipment. Already in the database the proprietary Safety Shield 360 complex is installed.
Thus, even the initial configuration is equipped with the following systems: automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, automatic reverse braking, lane departure warning, blind spot warning according to radar information, rear cross warning and adaptive head optics.
The compact crossover is still sold in three trim levels of the Nissan Kicks S, SV and SR. Another update was an alert for an open tailgate. A non-alternative version of a soft hybrid is installed under the hood. It is based on a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with power up to 122 horsepower. Paired with it, a variator is installed, combined with an electric motor.
The cost of the model remained unchanged. The basic version costs $ 18,870 in the US market. The 2020 Nissan Kicks remains one of the most affordable new crossover models on the market, despite many configuration options and personalization options.
