Nissan is preparing a new van based on Renault KangooFebruary 13, 2021
The Japanese automaker spoke about the next generation of “its compact commercial vehicle.” Nissan is of course talking about a successor to the NV250, which promises to be a rarity.
According to the brand, the next generation Nissan NV250 will be produced in France at the Maubeuge plant of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. The current version, introduced in 2019, like the current Kangoo, with whom he shares his genes, is also assembled at this group’s manufacturing facility.
Nissan promises that an electric version of the NV250 will follow, among other things. It also indicates that Nissan’s youngest commercial compact model is strongly associated with the new Renault Kangoo. Eventually, an all-electric ZE variant of this car was announced.
The electric variant marks the end of the e-NV200, the electric version of the NV200 / Evalia launched in 2014, according to Nissan. The successor to the NV250, which in turn will replace the first-generation Nissan Kubistar based on the Kangoo, will receive not only a van version, but a passenger version in various lengths. Soon all the vans of the Japanese brand will see the light of day in France, and the NV200, which will soon disappear, will be produced outside France.
