Nissan introduced the concept of crossover IMx EVSeptember 9, 2019
Nissan is developing a second electric car for the United States.
The company focuses on the popular segment of compact crossovers. The Japanese automaker is already selling the Leaf version, but it needs new models with a wider assortment, power and updated technology to withstand growing competition in the electric car market. It is expected that the model of the new crossover will arrive in the United States in the second half of 2021. Nissan’s new electric car will be one of eight all-electric models the automaker plans in the next few years.
The company claims that the electric crossover will provide mileage of 483 km, it will be able to accelerate to 100 km / h in less than 5 seconds. Nissan does not disclose the specifics of battery capacity, but depending on the crossover version, it can be equipped with a battery with a capacity of 75 to 85 kWh.
The roomy cab has a futuristic look with a digital dashboard devoid of physical buttons that remain hidden until the car is turned on. The electric crossover will also be equipped with ProPilot 2.0. This is the next generation of Nissan semi-autonomous technology. It is assumed that Nissan will introduce a concept close to the production version.
