Nissan has published a teaser for a new generation of Juke crossoverJuly 13, 2019
A new generation of Japanese crossover with ambiguous appearance will be presented on September 3 of this year, the car will go on sale in early 2020. The press service of the company published a teaser – it looks as fun as before.
In 2017, Nissan introduced the Kicks crossover, which replaced the shocking Nissan Juke in some car markets. From our country, this car also disappeared, but reportedly will be back soon. The Juke model continued to live in other parts of the world, and now Nissan is ready to present the second generation of the Juke crossover – the show is long-awaited for many new items scheduled for September 3 this year.
Nissan has published a teasing image of the car, which shows the headlights. We can see that the new Juke will retain the location of the lights of the current crossover with thin slit headlights at the top and round lights in the center of the front. This is similar to the clear evolution of Juke design, which should please fans.
We already know quite a lot about the new generation of the compact crossover. The CMF-B platform developed by Nissan and Renault as part of their partnership will be used as the basis. This is the same platform that underlies the new Renault Clio (hatchback) and Captur (crossover). The appearance of 1.0-and 1.3-liter gasoline engines, a 1.5-liter dCi diesel engine and, possibly, a 1.6-liter turbo engine with up to 200 horsepower is expected. There are also rumors about the appearance of a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
“Spy” photos of the compact crossover show a curved windshield, a sloping roof, and a “flattened” rear door. The next generation Juke seems to retain the eccentric and confident style of the current car. The transition to the new platform will give Juke more space inside, as it is expected that the crossover will increase in size.
