Nissan, along with its sports division, introduced the GT-R Nismo GT500, which will go to the start of the Super GT and DTM races.
Starting next season, these two racing series combine regulation. In accordance with the rules, the GT500 is equipped with a two-liter four-cylinder turbo engine that produces no more than 620 horsepower. In racing, the sporty GT-R will compete with the Toyota Supra and Honda NSX-GT.
Before the start of the GT-R season, the Nismo GT500 will take part in several special races – the Super GT x DTM Dream Race in November on the Hockenheim circuit, and then in Japan.
This spring it became known that Nissan has prepared for the 50th anniversary of the GT-R a special version of the sports car in the colors of the GP series racing cars and the legendary Skyline GT-R R34. Such a car is equipped with a 3.8-liter “six” with a capacity of 573 horsepower, which works in tandem with a six-speed robotized gearbox with two clutches.
