Nissan demonstrated the updated Rogue cross in the USA, which is sold under the name X-Trail in the rest of the world.

In America, the model is quite popular, and almost a third of the sales of the Japanese company falls on it. Options for other states will debut later.

Cross became the debut model of the brand, which was built on the new architecture – the new Mitsubishi Outlander will also receive it. The crossover shortened by 38 mm (4652 mm) and decreased by 5 mm (1695 mm). But Nissan claims that at the same time, the X-Trail has acquired a more spacious interior.

The novelty was equipped with 2-tier headlights and a large grille with a large chrome insert. The rear doors now open almost 90 degrees, and the width of the luggage compartment is 1158 mm.

The interior has become much richer. From now on, the model has leather trim chairs with a diamond-shaped stitching, as well as leatherette on the front panel and door cards. Like the front seats, the rear sofa was built using proprietary Zero Gravity technology, created in conjunction with NASA.

Cross is equipped with adaptive cruise control, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, a 3-zone climate control, a 10.8-inch projection screen, curtains on the rear windows, an infotainment complex with a 9-inch display and online services, as well as the Vehicle Motion Control function, which can predict the actions of the driver and interfere with the control.

In the United States, only a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 184 hp is currently declared for cross. The variator transmission is now controlled by an uncompressed selector, and next to it is a washer of choice of 5 driving modes. Four-wheel drive has acquired a new electro-hydraulic clutch in the rear wheel drive, which responds faster to slipping front wheels.

First of all, the new Nissan cross will appear in the American car market. This will happen this fall. The start of sales in other states will be announced later.
