The Japanese automaker has appointed an extraordinary shareholders meeting to select new executives.
Nissan Motor today decided to hold a meeting of the board of directors, in which it was decided to hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders. A Nomination Committee was also appointed to identify retiring directors and new candidates for directors.
“In making the decision, we took into account the recommendations of Nissan, the recommendations of Renault and the joint recommendations of both Renault and Nissan. Details will be published at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, ”the automaker’s press release said.
In connection with the retirement of Hayato Nishikawa, Yasuhiro Yamauchi and Thierry Borole, the company decided to hold a meeting at which candidates for these positions will be determined. Among them
Makoto Uchida (company representative, chief executive officer, president and chief executive officer), Ashwani Gupta (executive representative, chief operating officer and chief executive officer), June Seki (it is planned to take office as deputy chief operating officer of the company from December 1) and Pierre Fleurio (Renault Lead Independent External Director).
