Nissan has offered customers a new generation of Almera sedan in the Asian market.
Currently, in some regional markets you can find Nissan cars, bearing the name Almera. They are not at all like those Nissan Almera sedans that were sold with us until last year. So, in Asian countries under the name Almera, a compact model based on the Nissan Note that has left our market has been released for eight years. The automaker chose Southeast Asia for a new stage in its development. So, the day before the next generation Almera debuted in Thailand.
The novelty is called a variant of the Nissan Versa sedan, which was presented back in the spring of 2019 in the United States. The sedan is based, as before, on platform V of the classic layout. In terms of dimensions, the new Almera is longer than the KIA Rio – 4,495 mm. But their width is almost the same – 1,740 mm. The wheelbase is 2 620 mm.
Already in the base version Nissan Almera receives ABS, a pair of airbags, an audio system, an analogue dashboard and wheels on stamped wheels. In top-end configurations, the number of airbags grows to six, ESP, advanced multimedia, round-robin video cameras, etc. appear.
As for the engine, the new Almera is equipped with a 100-liter liter turbo engine, combined with a CVT. For comparison, the American Versa drives the 1.6-liter 124-horsepower aspirated. The new Nissan Almera is already on the assembly line in Thailand. The new generation sedans here are estimated at 16,500 -21,200 dollars. Over time, the novelty will go beyond Thailand and will develop other markets.
