Nick de Vries completed the tests with the best timeMarch 8, 2019
ART pilot Nick de Vries completed the Formula 2 tests in Barcelona with the best time. He drove around the Catalan circuit for 1: 27.024, a quarter of a second ahead of Luca Giotto from UNI Virtuosi. The third time showed Louis Deletraz of Carlin. Fourth to sixth places were also taken by UNI Virtuosi, Carlin and ART pilots – Guan Yu Zhou, Nobuharu Matsushita and Nikita Mazepin.
His result, which became the best for all three days of tests, de Vries showed in the morning, on soft tires. He also became the cause of the appearance of the first red flags of the day, after it was launched in the second turn. After the resumption of the session, the riders switched to the long series, and the results in the group of the best remained unchanged.
The break between sessions was reduced to an hour. The teams once again worked on long series, so that none of the pilots approached the morning results. The best time in the afternoon showed Juan Manuel Correa, who plays for the Sauber Junior Team by Charouz, ahead of Roberto Mary and Tatiana Calderon.
