Next Generation’s Most Powerful BMW 7 Series Goes ElectricMarch 18, 2020
The new 7th series will also be available in gasoline, diesel and hybrid versions, but the most powerful modification will be the EV.
With the test prototypes of the new BMW 7 Series, we were already introduced to early spy shots. Now the German brand has shared plans that relate to the updated flagship. So, during the annual press conference on reporting for 2020, Oliver Zips, chairman of the board of directors of BMW AG, officially announced that a new generation of cars will be offered as a purely electric model. At the same time, the company is not going to abandon gasoline and diesel engines.
Oliver Zips also said that the most powerful version of the next-generation luxury sedan will be the EV. Will the new product get the name “i7” while there is no information.
What power can boast the most high-performance sedan, is also not disclosed. It is only known that all four types of power units will be based on the same architecture. It is hoped that in the near future BMW will officially announce the new 7th series, so far it is not necessary. Foreign photo spies still catch on the camera only test copies of the future news. The presentation of the new BMW 7 Series is expected no earlier than 2022. But the model can enter the US market only in 2023.
