New Volkswagen Transporter V7 seen on testsFebruary 8, 2020
Car tests are held in harsh winter conditions.
Spy shots of the new Volkswagen Transporter van were posted online today. The car will receive the T7 index. Recall that the current version today is the restyled T6.1, which appeared about a year ago. It is expected that the official premiere of the new car will take place in about a year – at the beginning of 2021. Changes in the body will be more evolutionary – the car will retain its shape, but it will borrow individual exterior elements from the brand’s new passenger cars. One of the features will be smoother angles, we also note the front part in the style of the Mk8 Golf. Transporter T7 is made on the new platform, so the design has changed slightly.
The doors of the driver and front passengers no longer go to the wheel arches, thereby the driver’s position has become a little further and deeper.
The novelty is designed to give more comfort in the cabin – improved visibility, the dashboard has become longer, and the lighting in the cabin has become more convenient. If information on the use of the new MQB platform is confirmed, then the new van can get 2.0-liter diesel turbo engines known for the Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Octavia models.
