New Volkswagen Caddy spotted in winter testsNovember 30, 2019
The future novelty is based on the modular platform MQB. Novelty passes road tests in harsh winter conditions. The model has already lost some camouflage, but is still hiding under the film.
Back in April 2019, the first new-generation Volkswagen Caddy spy photos appeared on the web. Then the test prototype fell on public roads, but in a more strict camouflage with false panels. Now photo spies were able to take new photos, with already fewer camouflage elements. However, camouflage film still hides the details.
Judging by the latest photographs, the new product will receive front optics in a corporate style with lenses. The front bumper will receive a more interesting design with pronounced elements. In the center of the lower grill will be the sensors of driver assistants, adaptive cruise control, as well as automatic safety systems. At the back, everything looks, as expected, for a small passenger and freight van from Volkswagen.
According to preliminary information, the van will finally be built on the basis of the MQB modular platform. This will increase the space for passengers and in the cargo compartment. Two versions of the model with different body lengths should go on sale.
There are no details about the model line yet. We can assume several options from the turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines of 2.0 liters. A hybrid modification should appear later.
