New versions of Porsche Taycan and Macan debut in Los AngelesNovember 18, 2019
Porsche has announced the world premiere of new versions of its cars at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Porsche Taycan 4S debuts in Los Angeles for the first time. The model will be available with a choice of batteries of different capacities: a standard battery with a capacity of 79.2 kWh for a 530-horsepower electric motor, and as an option – a “two-tier” Plus battery with a capacity of 93.4 kWh for the version that will deliver in Overboost mode up to 571 hp power.
As for the dynamics of acceleration, regardless of the selected battery, the new Taycan 4S will be able to dial the first hundred in 4.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km / h. As the developers promise, the power reserve of the electric car will be 407 km with a standard battery and 463 km with a Plus battery in the WLTP cycle.
At the same stand with Taycan, Porsche will present the updated Macan Turbo crossover with a 2.0L Biturbo with a capacity of 440 hp. In addition, the model boasts the new Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB) carbide-tungsten brake discs, which unlike traditional ones generate 90% less dust during braking.
Externally, the Macan Turbo differs from the standard model in the original front bumper and a fixed double roof spoiler. The interior of the top-end Macan gets sports seats and the premium Bose Surround Sound audio system.
The California International Auto Show will open its doors to all comers on November 22 and will delight with its new products until December 1 of this year. Representatives of the press, including our correspondents, were invited to the auto show on November 20 and 21.
