New trailer for Le Mans’ 66 movie released
September 16, 2019There are not so many films about races, racers and race cars, and to count the truly decent work, one finger is enough. And now lovers of this rare movie genre are looking forward to the release of a new picture, which we already talked about: the world premiere of Le Mans’66 will take place on November 15.
The film is called Ford vs. Ferrari at the box office in several countries and is dedicated to the triumph of the Ford GT40 sports cars on the Sarthe ring in the 1966 24-hour marathon. The company Enzo Ferrari actually considered Le Mans his estate, but enthusiasts led by the legendary designer Carroll Shelby managed the impossible.
Film critics, who have already had occasion to evaluate the work of American director James Mangold, publish very laudatory reviews, and here is an excerpt from one of them, which appeared on the pages of the network publication Screendaily:
“The brilliantly shot film conveys the optimism characteristic of the 60s, when it seemed that any thing could be done, and so impressively reproduces the racing scenes that you find yourself in the thick of things in a state of excited expectation of a denouement, even if it is known in advance. This is a real achievement. ”
So this, or a Canadian critic is exaggerating something, we will find out when we see for ourselves, but today the filmmakers unveiled a new trailer that perfectly fuels the public’s expectations.
