New Toyota Urban Cruiser crossover appeared at dealersOctober 2, 2020
Representatives of the Japanese brand announced the start date of sales back in September. Now you can buy a car not only by pre-order.
The new Urban Cruiser crossover has reached the Indian dealers of the Toyota brand. According to the portal “New Cars”, the official sales of new items should begin on Friday, October 2. For now, the car will only be available in India, but may later appear in some other automotive markets.
Toyota Urban Cruiser is a redesigned version of the Suzuki Vitara Brezza crossover – recall that the two Japanese companies have agreed on the possibility of using each other’s technologies. The novelty is compact – its dimensions are 3993x1790x1640 mm with a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. Of the differences from Vitara Brezza, we note the new radiator grille, updated bumpers and other head optics. Under the hood of the novelty is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 105 hp output, which is complemented by a 48-volt starter-generator.
5MKPP or 4 automatic transmissions can be combined with the engine at the choice of buyers. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive.
With budget positioning of the model in its maximum configuration, you can count on air conditioning, a rear-view camera and a modern multimedia system with a touchscreen.
Meanwhile, the first batch of “charged” Toyota GR Yaris cars in Australia was sold out in just 6 days. The main reason for such a rush of demand was significant discounts at the start of sales. According to Toyota representatives, this will help attract interest in the new product.
