New Tesla hits record sales in EuropeMarch 27, 2019
The electric car Tesla Model 3 defeats German luxury – in the first full month on the European market, the model has risen to first place in sales in the luxury segment of mid-size sedans.
This great Tesla achievement is even more impressive when you consider that the Model 3 is still unavailable in the UK market, since the right-hand drive versions are still not in production.
In February, Tesla managed to sell 3657 cars of its new and most budget Model 3 in Europe, which is more than electric cars of other brands, including Renault Zoe, Nissan LEAF, BMW i3 and Hyundai Kona Electric.
But it is much more interesting that the Model 3 managed to surpass in sales even its direct competitors in the segment with conventional internal combustion engines, including such megapopular luxury models like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.
According to analysts, the demand for new models usually grows gradually, and only in the fourth or fifth month it reaches the expected level. So there is every reason to assume that in the near future, sales of Tesla Model 3 will only increase.
