New Tesla firmware allows owners to sing karaoke while drivingSeptember 30, 2019
Tesla has released a major software update – firmware version 10.0 is distinguished by the function of calling an electric car from a distance of 30 meters, the availability of access to streaming video and audio, the appearance of full-fledged karaoke with duplication of text on the central display and other innovations.
The new version of the software has expanded the range of the Summon function, which allows the owner to “unmanned” move the electric car using a mobile application. If earlier Tesla with an autopilot could be “suspected” from a few meters, then after updating the electric car will be able to drive up to the owner from visibility limits, that is, about thirty meters. Tesla will be able to avoid obstacles, but in the event of an emergency, the responsibility for the incident will rest with the owner.
Another innovation is the Tesla Theater. From now on, you can start full-screen video on the central display of the electric car. However, videos from YouTube, Netflix or Hulu can only be watched in a parked car. In addition, electric cars received a modernized navigator with the ability to visit a random catering point or random attractions.
Tesla owners can update the software by clicking a few buttons and connecting to the wireless Internet. Fans of the California brand are already calling the firmware of the tenth version the most global software update in the history of the brand.
