New Suzuki Ignis will debut in ParisAugust 10, 2016
The Japanese company Suzuki has confirmed that the new compact crossover Suzuki Ignis will debut in October at the Paris Motor Show. The design of the car felt notes of retro style with a vent hole in the rear rack. It is a design element used in the SC100 small car in the 70s.
Of course, Suzuki Ignis built on a new platform. Novelty is a production version of the iM-4 concept, which was introduced at last year’s Tokyo Motor Show, and is virtually identical to the concept. Buyers will be offered a front-wheel or all-wheel drive version to choose from, but if the new product will be able to truly compete with the all-wheel drive Fiat Panda remains to be seen.
The compact crossover has received a hybrid power plant. Technical data is not made public. The hybrid version of the new products for Japan is equipped 1.2-liter petrol engine from the Swift Dualjet paired with a continuously variable transmission CVT.
Vehicle length is 3700 mm, width – 1660 mm. The size of the wheelbase – 2435 mm. Suzuki Ignis Sales will begin in January 2017.
