New Subaru Levorg spotted on tests in JapanMay 20, 2020
In November last year, Subaru introduced the second-generation Levorg with the V-Sport Special Edition.
Family wagon with a 2.0-liter turbo engine rated at 300 hp became the forerunner of the new Levorg. The pre-production wagon, which is presented at the Tokyo Motor Show as a prototype, demonstrates the real model. This car will have to go into production by the end of this year. In Japan, photo spies managed to shoot a test version in almost the same specification as the prototype, which has a red bar on the license plate. This strip is called “Kari Number”, where “Kari” means “temporary”, and also indicates that the machine can be operated for three to five days.
In addition, Kari rooms are budget-friendly and there is an opportunity to request almost on the go at the local administration. The Turbo Boxer FA18 unit works with the Lineartronic CVT variator and does not have a manual option. Due to the “economical combustion technology”, the 1.8-liter unit will be as effective as the FB16 before it.
