New spy photos of Toyota HighlanderFebruary 16, 2019
The model was recently spotted during testing, which she conducted in a company with the Mazda CX-9 and the outdated version of the Highlander. Tight camouflage, in which Toyota had previously equipped a crossover, was removed, but the black film reliably hides the new design.
The Highlander has a look that resembles the Toyota RAV4 style, but it is noticeably longer than the RAV4, since the Highlander will switch to the TNGA platform. A new front grille will appear, as well as sporty chrome stripes. Headlights have become narrower and sharper.
Side mirrors fixed on the front doors, which is likely to contribute to reducing wind noise. Apparently, the wings were rounded. 3D lights will appear in the back. The exhaust system and suspension are still the same as the previous version.
Information about the engines has not yet been disclosed, it is only known that a hybrid version will be released. There will also be a version with a naturally aspirated V6. The rivals of the new Toyota Highlander will be the Ford Explorer, Subaru Ascent, Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade.
