New Skoda Octavia “lit up” in the photo almost without camouflageMay 17, 2019
Car captured on one of the roads of the Czech Republic. As expected, after the re-styling, the Octavia was left without twin headlights, which not all brand fans recognized as aesthetics.
The fourth generation of the legendary Skoda Octavia finally got to the final test. Recently, the updated model got into the lens of photo spies – the novelty was “caught” in the Czech Republic. Photos of the new Octavia, almost camouflaged, were shared by Auto.cz. On the frames that hit the Network, it is clearly seen that the appearance of the new Octavia has much in common with the design of the Vision RS concept car, which was presented at the international automobile exhibition in Paris. It is expected that the size of the new product will largely coincide with the dimensions of the predecessor, but the trunk volume will grow to 630 liters.
With the change of generation, Octavia will acquire a modified grille, which has become wider and at the same time smaller in height, as well as a new optics.
On the car, caught in the field of view of photo spies, the headlights are disguised as Skoda Superb optics. Dual headlights, which not everyone liked, disappeared. Inside the car, according to unconfirmed official information, a virtual dashboard will appear like that of the compact Karoq crossover, presented in the spring of 2018. Under the hood of the new Octavia, experts predict, one, one and a half and two liters petrol turbo engines will be located, as well as a new 1.5 liter turbo diesel. European motorists will have access to the new product next year. First, there will be liftbacks on sale, and after – generalists.
