New Skoda Karoq Facelift 2022 spotted in spy photosJune 10, 2021
Photo spies spotted the new 2022 Skoda Karoq Facelift crossover with minimal camouflage. The compact crossover from the Czech Republic has received a facelift. The presentation is scheduled for the second half of the year.
For almost a year, the 2022 Skoda Karoq Facelift has been tested in camouflage paint. The compact SUV was last seen in the Austrian Alps. At the time, the model had a distinctive black and white camouflage pattern that hid the altered image. The new spy photos are revealing.
The Karoq features minimal camouflage, hiding a grille that will be thinner and three-dimensional like on the Kodiaq and Enyaq iV, and slimmer headlights integrated with the grille. At the same time, the second headlights of a larger size have been preserved. The redesigned overall air intake extends from one end of the bumper to the other from below.
Karoq 2022 will have LED headlights and a new light signature, leaving the option to use Matrix LED headlights. At the rear, the pilots will retain the ‘C’ style lighting, but the headlights will be updated. A discreet facelift will give a more modern look to both the whole and one of the most important models of the brand.
The cabin also features new features highlighting a new higher-resolution touchscreen infotainment system, in addition to the new Laura assistant.
The brand will also offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an arsenal of driving safety assistants. The improvements are complemented by more tactile materials and new upholstery and color combinations that enhance quality and comfort.
On sale at the end of the year, the Skoda Karoq Facelift will also have an updated mechanical offering in which virtually all engines will be optimized for maximum efficiency. The line-up will retain front and all-wheel drive options in addition to the 7-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission.
