As on Tuesday, December 1, Motor1 informs, the machine will be based on the MQB-A0 architecture. The hatchback and station wagon engine range will be represented by 3-cylinder petrol engines. Transmission – 6-speed manual transmission or 7-band automatic transmission with dual clutch.
At the same time, the Czech company has already announced that it will not produce diesel, hybrid and electric modifications of the upcoming novelty. At the same time, nothing is known at the moment about the fate of the “charged” version with the RS prefix. It is noted that the car will borrow some design elements from the Skoda Kamiq, Scala and Octavia. In addition, the updated model should receive a modern multimedia system. Surely, after changing the platform the dimensions of the upcoming car will remain almost the same.
In addition, some time ago it was reported that the Czech company Skoda had come up with a way for one driver to drive two cars at once. It should be said that, in addition to the employees of the Czech brand, specialists from the Technical University of Ostrava were involved in the development of the new technology.
