New Skoda Enyaq iV Acoustic Signature will receive a unique soundtrackDecember 1, 2020
Carscoops reports this with reference to the press service of the brand.
More recently, in Europe, all electric car manufacturers have been obliged to add sound to their environmentally friendly vehicles while driving. The system was named Acoustic Vehicle Alert System or AVAS. It is designed to notify others about the presence of an electric car on the road.
According to published data, the sounds for the first Skoda electric car were created by Volkswagen in collaboration with a specially created team of composers to make the model stand out from the general stream. It is worth noting that the car received a very specific soundtrack, similar to the sounds made by a spaceship in some classic space movie.
The sound will come from a dedicated speaker system with one full-range speaker built into the front panel. The electronics, along with the sound source, are built into a small enclosure that eliminates the need for engineers to use multiple speakers. The first Skoda Enyaq iVs will go on sale in Europe in early 2021.
