Chances for the emergence in Europe, there is a coupe Kodiaq – this was previously reported by the head of Skoda.
It is expected that the cross-compartment will be smaller than the standard model, so you can forget about the seven-seat version. By the way, the Chinese simple Kodiaq in general has the same dimensions as the European version, the stretch crossover was not: 4 698/1 883/1 676 mm, wheelbase – 2,791 mm. The engines of the coupe, most likely, will get from the donor. In the Chinese Kodiaq sell with gasoline engines 1.8 TSI (180 hp) and 2.0 TSI (220 hp), the drive – only full. In Europe, the model is available today with 1.4 TSI (125 or 150 hp), 2.0 TSI (180 hp), as well as with 2.0 TDI (150 or 190 hp), the European SUV has front-wheel drive versions . Soon in Europe there will be crossovers with a 150-horsepower 1.5 TSI (will replace 1.4 TSI) and with an upgraded 2.0 TSI, the return of which will increase to 190 hp.
As part of the event, Skoda also shared plans to further expand the range of crossovers on the Chinese market. A photo slide presentation was distributed by the local edition of Autohome.
Already this year in China, debut Kodiaq GT all-terrain vehicle – under this index is hidden a cup-shaped version of the flagship model of Skoda. In 2019, on sale will be a kind of sports crossover, which is still known under the code name Model Q Sport. There are no details about the model. Meanwhile, Chinese media say that before the official presentation of Kamiq, this crossover was featured in Skoda’s documents as Model Q. It is possible that Kamiq will receive a sports version: it is likely to be different in exterior design. Finally, in 2020, before the Chinese dealers should get the electric version of Karoq. Information on the installation of an electric car is also not yet available.
