New Seat Leon received a unique optionFebruary 1, 2020
Spaniards have made contour lighting more useful
The fourth-generation Seat Leon received a rather interesting option that sets it apart from the Volkswagen Golf and Skoda Octavia.
The new Seat Leon is built on the modular architecture of the MQB, as well as the platform models Volkswagen Golf and Skoda Octavia. True, unlike them, the Spanish hatchback, which is positioned by the concern as the most “youthful” model in the golf class, showed one curious feature. The car is equipped with a wide range of modern active safety systems and driving assistants, but Seat managed to rethink the indication of their work. As in many other new models, contour lighting of the interior is offered for Leon, but in the Xcellence configuration it becomes “intellectual” and gets the ability to change its color depending on the situation.
For example, when you start the engine, the lighting will be softer, when you switch to sport mode, it will be brighter, but the main (and most useful) feature of the contour lighting in Leon is the display of the security systems. In the area of the dashboard, the diode strip can simultaneously serve as an indicator of blind zone monitoring systems, change lanes and help when leaving the parking lot, if necessary, signaling the driver about the danger with bright yellow light. At Volkswagen Golf and Skoda Octavia indicators are traditionally located in the exterior mirror housings.
