New Renault Captur will be able to drive 45 km on electricSeptember 20, 2019
Automobile Magazine revealed the rechargeable 2018-2019 Renault Captur hybrid. The electrified Captur will acquire a 9.8 kW / h battery, which will allow the crossover to travel with zero emissions up to 45 km through the WLTP cycle at the highest speed of 135 km / h.
Variation PHEV will receive an atmospheric 1.6-liter gasoline engine rated at 90 hp, which will work together with a starter-generator and a 70-horsepower electric motor. The total performance of the unit will be 160 hp.
According to assumptions, sales of a model with an electric motor will begin next spring. Captur is currently offered in Europe with typical ICEs. There, the engine range of the model is represented by three gasoline engines with a return from 100 to 150 hp. and a volume of 1 to 1.3 liters, and two more 1.5 liter diesel units with a capacity of 95 and 114 hp respectively. These engines operate in conjunction with front-wheel drive, as well as a 5-, 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-band robotic gearbox.
Regarding the Russian variation of Captur, the SUV is more likely to wait for an update that will make the model look like a global variation.
