New photos of the updated Volkswagen Arteon publishedJune 17, 2020
Volkswagen is preparing an updated version of its Arteon liftback, which will receive a new body type – Shooting Brake. The first photos of the updated pair were published by our Chinese partners.
Back in August 2019, AutoTimesNews wrote about the possible appearance of a Shooting Brake version of the Arteon. Later, the car was repeatedly seen during testing, and the other day Volkswagen announced a teaser of the appearance of these two modifications.
As can be seen in the pictures, the car is equipped with a black plastic body kit, characteristic of alltrack brand cars. Moreover since the letters “CC” are located in the back under the brand icon. Note that in Europe and already here the car is known as Arteon, and in China – Passat CC. The 330 TSI on the tailgate does not display engine power or volume. 300 TSI is a power of 186 hp and torque of 320 Nm.
The new body variant, like the regular five-door version of the updated Arteon, gets a new front end with a different front bumper. It is expected that such a “face” will be in the European version of the model. By the way, it is expected that Volkswagen will add a powerful version of the R to the Arteon line. Next week we will learn more when the official presentation of the updated Arteon and the all-new Arteon Shooting Brake will take place.
