New Opel Insignia borrows grille from CorsaJuly 3, 2019
Opel brought the updated Insignia to the final road test. The fact that the novelty is finally completing the test-drives, we can judge by the test car captured by the photo spies: it almost completely lost its once-dense camouflage.
The debut of the new Opel Insignia promises to organize in the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. In the meantime, a “fresh” portion of spy shots appeared on the Web, which captured a test Insignia with a minimum set of camouflage. The photos show that after the restyling, the Opel Insignia 2020 received a more subtle and elegant grille in the style of the updated Corsa. In this embodiment, the lattice is decorated with a single bar, divided by the brand’s logo.
The manufacturer didn’t limit himself to one grille: the new Insignia’s appearance was attracted by modified headlights with a prominent accent on the outer edge, as well as slightly redesigned taillights. The rest of the body did not receive major improvements.
The interior design of the new Opel Insignia also did not seem to be reformed, confining itself to individual purely cosmetic touches. But in the range of motor innovations, experts expect to see fundamental innovations. Opel is now under the wing of the PSA concern and, which is quite likely, can borrow from it a new line of available engines.
